4th of July Events

There are several fun events being held all over the state this weekend, in honor of Independence Day on Monday, July 4th! I’m sure there are a few I missed- if you know of one, leave a comment and I’ll add it to the list!

Salt Lake City 4th of July Celebration at Jordan Park– Monday, 7/4. Salt Lake City’s annual 4th of July celebration will celebrate Independence Day in style with a kids’ bike parade, booths and games, live music, and of course, the grand finale – FIREWORKS! As always it will be a patriotic neighborhood party on Salt Lake City’s west-side.

South Salt Lake Freedom Festival– Saturday, 7/2. Parade starts at 9 a.m., route goes from 2280 S. 300 E. to Fitts Community Park. Festival and fireworks at Granite High School, 3305 S. 500 E.
West Jordan Independence Day Festival & Western Stampede– July 1-4. Carnival, free movies and activities, parade 10:30am-noon on 7/4.

Murray City Fun Days– Monday, 7/4, parade begins at 8:30am, tons of free entertainment and activities follow at Murray park.

North Salt Lake– Saturday, 7/2. Booths and activities at Eaglewood Golf course at 6pm, fireworks at dark.
Sugar House Fireworks show- Monday, July 4, 2011 at Sugar House Park, 1300 E. 2100 South

St. George Independence Day Fun & Games Extravaganza– free activities, vendors, free concert at 8pm, fireworks show at 10pm.

SLC Salutes Veterans at the Gallivan Center– 7/4 from 4-10pm, free admission, activities, booths, fireworks.

Tooele’s American Pride, Citywide Event– Events all week long, free movie showing, 5K fun run, parade at 9am 7/4 at Tooele city park.
